2 . How do I purchase tickets?
You can purchase admission tickets to the Games and the ticketed events and concerts by calling 1-800-358-SCOT (7268) or on-line at www.loonmtn.com or at the gate each day of the Games.
3 . Where are the Games located? The Games will be held at the Loon Mountain Ski Resort, Lincoln, NH.
4 . Can you recommend accommodations around the Lincoln area? Contact the Lincoln-Woodstock Chamber of Commerce at 603-745-6621 or at www.lincolnwoodstock.com. Lodging partners are listed on this website.
5 . Is there camping on-site? There is no on-site camping. Please contact the Lincoln-Woodstock Chamber of Commerce for camping information.
6 . Is there on-site parking? Parking is off-site in the town of Lincoln. Please follow the signs to designated parking areas and ride the shuttle bus to Loon Mountain.
7 . Can I bring my dog?
No. Please leave your pets at home. Only guide or service dogs permitted.
8 . Can I bring my own Beer?
No. BYOB is NOT permitted anywhere on the grounds and this policy is strictly enforced.
9 . I am a competitor. How do I register to compete? Can I register online?
If you are competing in Clarsach(Harp) or Fiddle you can download forms from this website and currently you can only register by mail. For Highand Dance and Piping & Drumming and competitors (solo & bands), you can download the entry form or you may register on-line. Additional information on competiton schedules is available with the download and online entries.
10 . Where are the closest airports?
The nearest airports are in Manchester, New Hampshire and Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts.
11 . How do I become a member?
Memberships are available online or by calling 603-229-1975. On-line memberships are available in late spring!
12 . What is there for children? Bring the family! Children under 12 accompanied by an adult are admitted FREE. Look for the Youth Program, with crafts, games and demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday.
13 . Where can I find the schedule of events?
The schedule of events as well as competition schedules are available on the website late in the summer. Please click here for a PDF of the three day schedule.
14 . I would like to be a Vendor at your event, how can I apply? Sorry. Our Vendor spaces are fully subscribed for the 2010 Games. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list for future years, please mail in the following: A brief description of your business, photographs or samples of your merchandise and 3 references from other Highland Games or Celtic Festivals. Mail to: NHHG Vending, PO Box 4197, Concord, NH 03302-4197.
15. Do the shuttle buses run for the evening concerts? No, onsite parking is available for the evening events.
16. What does the admission ticket cover? Admission includes all daytime concerts in the main concert tent as well as other NHHG venues, Highland strongman athletes from around the world compete Saturday and Sunday, sheep dog trials on Friday, two days of pipe band competition with approximately 30 bands, explore your heritage in the Clan Village, Scottish shopping, demonstrations, youth program, living history area, watch Highland dance, piping & drumming, fiddle and harp competitions and so much more for three complete days.
17. Do I have to buy an daytime admission ticket in order to attend an evening event? No, evening concerts, dinners and dances are separate ticketed events from the daytime admission. Parking for NHHG evening events held at Loon Mountain is on-site and free. |
