The New Hampshire Gathering of the Scottish Clans is a not-for-profit New Hampshire Corporation dedicated to the furtherance of the dance, music, athletics and customs of the Scottish people and to the continuance of the Gaelic culture. The Board of Directors of the NHGSC sponsors the New Hampshire Highland Games through the Games Organizing Committee. In addition, the NHGSC Board of Directors has established the Scottish Scholarship Fund of New Hampshire (SSFNH) as a separate and distinct not-for-profit corporation to administer funds donated for Scholarship purposes.
Since its founding, the NHGSC has awarded over $1.3 million as prizes, scholarships and honoraria. While the majority of the recipients are competitors, several dedicated individuals who teach or lead others in the Scottish Arts have also received awards. Most recipients attend schools in the USA or Canada; however a few have attended programs in Scotland. It is a privilege, each year, to read the quality of the applications and know that the future of our Scottish arts is ensured through the dedication of so many students and teachers.
Applicants must submit completed forms in order to be considered for an award. Priority is given to residents of New England and New York. Applicants must have at least two years of experience, promise, commitment and two letters of recommendation. You may click here to download the application form or contact the NHGSC at P. O.
